What it is

What is High Performance Training at Olympia?

High Performance Training at Olympia is an elite, individualized coaching program for athletes who want to reach peak potential. Coaches assess your sport, position and current capacity, then build a periodized strength, power, speed and conditioning plan delivered inside our specialized West Island Montreal facility.

Programs are written for the athlete, not the room. Whether you compete in hockey, soccer, football, rugby, basketball, combat sports, powerlifting, strongman, HYROX or obstacle racing, the training block is structured around your competitive calendar, recovery capacity and measurable performance markers.

Who is High Performance Training built for?

High Performance Training is built for competitive and serious athletes — youth team players, university recruits, masters competitors, racers and weekend warriors who want elite-level coaching. Our coaches train clients from youth all the way to ninety years old, so the standard is elite, but the entry point scales to your readiness.

Competitive Sport Athletes

Hockey, soccer, football, rugby, basketball, lacrosse, volleyball, baseball, combat sports — programmed around in-season, off-season and pre-season demands.

Strength & Power Athletes

Powerlifters, strongmen and women, Olympic-style lifters and bodybuilders who need precise progression, recovery management and meet-day preparation.

HYROX & Endurance Racers

Hybrid athletes preparing for HYROX, obstacle racing or endurance events that require both raw power and sustained conditioning capacity.

Aspiring Recruits

High-school and CEGEP-age athletes building the strength, speed and conditioning base required to play at the next level.

How does a High Performance program work?

Every program starts with a one-on-one assessment, then moves into a periodized block of strength, power, speed and conditioning work. Coaches retest at defined checkpoints, so progress is measured — not assumed — and the plan adjusts as you adapt.

  1. 1. Performance Assessment

Movement screen, strength baseline, conditioning capacity, injury history and competitive calendar review. We learn how you currently move and recover before we touch a barbell.

  2. 2. Individualized Programming

Your coach writes a periodized block aligned with your sport and season — strength, power output, speed, conditioning energy systems, mobility and recovery work, sequenced for adaptation.

  3. 3. Coached Sessions on the Floor

Sessions are coached, cued and corrected in person inside the West Island facility. Technique is the long game — and the only thing that lets you train hard for years.

  4. 4. Retest, Adjust, Repeat

At the end of each block we retest the markers that matter for your sport, then write the next block from real numbers — not generic templates.

High Performance Training FAQ

Common questions before booking a tour or starting an assessment at Olympia Performance in West Island Montreal.

Do I need to be a competitive athlete to join High Performance Training?

No. The program is built around competitive and serious athletes, but coaches scale every block to your current strength, conditioning and injury history. If you are committed to elite-level coaching and willing to train consistently, you have a place on the floor.

How long is a typical High Performance program block?

Most blocks run 8 to 12 weeks, structured around your sport calendar — pre-season, in-season or off-season. Each block ends with a retest, then your coach writes the next block from real numbers so progression is measurable instead of guessed.

Are sessions one-on-one, semi-private or small group?

All formats exist at Olympia. High Performance is most often delivered as private or semi-private coaching, with small-group athletic training available for teams and squads. Your coach will recommend the format that matches your goal, schedule and budget.

Can I use the 24/7 gym access between coached sessions?

Yes. Members receive an electronic key fob that opens the gym floor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can run accessory days, conditioning work or mobility sessions on your own schedule — before kids wake up, after a late shift or around game day.

Do you train youth athletes inside the High Performance program?

Yes. Olympia coaches youth athletes preparing for competitive seasons, recruitment showcases and team selection. Programming is age-appropriate, technique-first and focused on long-term athletic development rather than short-term peaks.
